Our Green Mission
Live at Regent Gardens Apartments and help save the environment! Our property is on a Green Mission to make a difference in reducing our carbon footprint on the earth. We believe it is up to every person, property and business to make a concerted effort to make a difference - it is one thing to just say "it is a good idea", it is quite another thing to actually do something about it!
Therefore, we are one of the few apartment communities in the area that is directly working with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) program to ensure that all of our renovation choices are green and will help save energy and the environment. Through the NYSERDA program we are harnessing the latest in building science technology to save energy, and applying this technology to all apartment and building renovations and our property's daily operation. To help achieve these goals, we are using New York State's partner network of engineers, energy consultants, and other industry professionals.

Some of the ways that Regent Gardens Apartments is making its buildings and apartments Green is by installing brand new Energy Star appliances, Energy Star lighting fixtures and bulbs (CFL's), and more. The Energy Star designation is given to products and appliances that meet or exceed federal energy efficiency guidelines, without sacrificing performance. According to the EPA, Energy Star appliances use 30% less energy and Energy Star lighting uses 75% less energy! Therefore, by installing Energy Star rated products in our apartments and buildings, we at Regent Gardens Apartments are helping to save energy, prevent global warming and promote cleaner air without sacrificing the product quality and performance that our residents expect! |
